Equity and Quality of Life Street Light Improvements FY26, Section 25-00697-01-LT

The City of Urbana is seeking assistance for the addition of light poles and luminaires to improve the street lighting levels in the project neighborhood. Some key points to consider: * The project requires the installation of approximately 4,000 feet of underground conduit, 21 handholes, 1,800 feet of electric cable, 15 luminaires, and 15 light poles. * The vendor must provide a bid bond or proposal bond equal to 5% of the total value of the proposal. * The vendor must also provide a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 15 calendar days from the date of the Notice of Award. * The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, or any part thereof, and to waive any technicalities or informalities deemed to be in the best interests of the City. * The City is exempt from paying federal excise tax, state and local retailers’ occupation tax, state and local service occupation tax, use tax, service use tax, and sales tax.
