Description
The Onslow Water & Sewer Authority (ONWASA) is seeking bids for the provision of one 1.5 Ton Crew Cab and Chassis with Utility Body. The vehicle must meet all minimum specifications for the kind and type specified or an approved equivalent. The bid price should not include any sales or use taxes, and all vehicle bids will be for new vehicles. The authority will evaluate bids based on two factors: Best Value, defined as the lowest responsive bid, and Availability, defined as the shortest delivery timeline.
• The vehicle must have a wheelbase sufficient to mount the required body, a crew cab with four full-size doors, and a chassis with dual rear wheels.
• The vehicle must have a heavy-duty frame and mounts with a minimum 15,000 gross vehicle weight rating.
• The vehicle must have a 6.4L minimum turbo diesel engine.
• The exterior color of the vehicle must be white, and the interior color must be the manufacturer's standard (not white).
• The vehicle must have four-wheel drive, anti-lock brake system, power steering, cruise control, and intermittent wipers.
• The vehicle must have a utility body with a slam-type door latch, stainless steel, all compartments keyed alike, and a heavy-duty bumper with a pintle hook recess.
