The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is seeking input from industry, academia, government laboratories, and non-traditional performers regarding advanced methods to rapidly mitigate and re-purpose large volumes of spilled Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POLs). The goal is to identify the most advanced methods for stabilizing and/or repurposing large volumes of petroleum products. • The Biological Technologies Office (BTO) of DARPA is leading this effort. • Eligibility is open to all capable and qualified sources, including universities, private or public companies, and government research laboratories. • Interested parties should email DARPA at [email protected] with their company information to receive further guidance for this RFI. • The submission is voluntary and is not required to propose to a subsequent Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) or other research solicitation. • No classified information should be included in the RFI response, and any proprietary information should be clearly labeled as “proprietary.”
