Description
The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith is seeking a qualified architectural firm (or joint‑venture) to design a Center for Health Innovation that will include simulation labs, obstetrical/post‑partum/pediatric facilities, a large collaborative learning theatre, classrooms, offices, and associated mechanical/technological infrastructure. The scope covers full‑service design from programming through construction close‑out, including civil, landscape, interior design, and commissioning. The firm must hold Arkansas licensure, demonstrate recent medical‑facility and simulation‑lab experience, and provide proof of $1 M professional liability insurance. Submissions are due 3 pm on 20 Oct 2026, with subsequent interviews and a Board of Trustees award in early December.
• Design services encompass programming, schematic, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Mandatory licensure and insurance; experience with LEED or similar sustainable rating systems required.
