The State of Missouri, Department of Health and Senior Services, is seeking proposals for the development of a rural medical clerkship program. The program must support at least three medical students per year and must be compliant with all medical school accreditation requirements. The contractor will also be required to provide a work plan, recruit preceptors, and ensure that the curriculum and training plan incorporate elements such as interprofessional training, culturally and linguistically appropriate care, and rural clinical training experience.
Some key points to consider:
• The contractor must be physically located in a Missouri county participating in the Rural Health Transformation Program's TORCH Care model.
• The contractor must have a minimum of three years of experience operating as a hospital facility, ambulatory patient care center, or rural health clinic.
• The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience providing care services to rural communities.
• The contractor must have a minimum of three years of experience training medical sciences students.
• The contractor must have a minimum of three years of experience successfully engaging partners, communities, and populations in strategies to improve healthcare services and access to those services.
