Description
The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking a general contractor for the Chisholm Hall Phase 4 Room Renovations project. The project includes demolition and renovations to Chisholm Hall, covering Floors 1-4, and includes work such as resident bathroom vanity areas, acoustical ceiling tile work, lighting, mechanical unit ventilator replacement, and limited remediation work. The contractor will be responsible for managing the construction process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and completing the project within the specified timeframe.
Key aspects of the project include:
* Demolition and renovation of existing spaces
* Installation of new vanity casework, countertops, and integrated lavatories/fixtures
* Removal and replacement of existing ceiling tiles, hangers, and grid system
* Installation of new LED lighting
* Mechanical unit ventilator replacement and ductwork removal and replacement
* Limited remediation work, including general repairs and removal of asbestos-containing materials
* Management of the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
* Compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including building codes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
* Completion of the project within the specified timeframe of 150 days
