Description
The Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) is seeking a qualified architectural/engineering firm (or consortium) to design major renovations and additions for three district schools: Union High School, Harrison Park Academy, and Campus Elementary. The scope includes full‑service design (schematic, design development, construction documents) and engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscape, interior, acoustics, energy, security, technology). The PSC will also coordinate with a Construction Manager‑as‑Constructor (CMc), attend community town‑hall meetings, provide cost‑estimate opinions, and deliver regular progress reports. Project budgets total roughly $29.6 M (program) with construction costs ≈ $21.2 M; design fees are expected to be a modest percentage of construction cost. The selection is qualification‑based, with a voluntary pre‑submission site visit on Oct 20, 2026, questions due Oct 22, 2026, and final submission due Oct 28, 2026.
