MOKITS Sustainment - Notice of Intent to Solicit Sole Source

The US Air Force is issuing a notice of intent to solicit a sole source contract for the MOKITS sustainment. The contract will provide realistic air combat training to the warfighter and will employ instrumentation on high-activity participant aircraft and ground subsystem components. The contractor will be required to provide configuration management, sustainment engineering, logistics, and approximately 96 KITS airborne instrumentation pods. The contract will have a base period of 12 months and four option periods of 12 months each, with a total period of performance not to exceed five years and six months. Key aspects of the contract include: * Providing realistic air combat training to the warfighter * Employing instrumentation on high-activity participant aircraft and ground subsystem components * Providing configuration management, sustainment engineering, logistics, and KITS airborne instrumentation pods * Maintaining functionality of government-furnished KITS airborne instrumentation pods and Surface Instrumented Sub-system (SIS) / Real Time Server (RTS) * Providing services at locations including Misawa AB, Japan; Osan AB, Republic of Korea; and Kadena AB, Japan
