Description
The New Jersey Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide full‑service design and construction‑engineering support for the rehabilitation of the NJ‑47 bascule bridge over Grassy Sound in Cape May County. The effort includes electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, structural, and civil design work, as well as construction‑phase engineering, permitting, and coordination with sub‑consultants. The contract will be awarded to the most highly‑qualified technical proposal (one‑step procurement, no price competition).
• Replace bridge electrical systems, install new hydraulic operating equipment, and upgrade mechanical components.
• Conduct structural rehabilitation of the bascule span, deck replacement, and scour countermeasure upgrades.
• Provide construction‑engineering services: bid analysis, schedule monitoring, RFI response, and change‑order management.
• Must assign a NJ‑licensed Project Manager and team leaders for each discipline (Bridge, Utility, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical).
