The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive ski‑trail maintenance for its Eagle River/Chugiak Parks and Recreation facilities. The work includes winter grooming of roughly 31 km of cross‑country ski trails, race‑course preparation, as‑needed additional grooming, and summer trail upkeep such as tree and brush trimming, signage maintenance, and limited trail repairs. The contract runs from November 2026 through October 2027 with optional one‑year renewals, and payment will be made monthly based on actual work performed, with a capped reimbursable material allowance of $1,000.
• Winter maintenance: minimum two grooming sets per week plus race‑course grooming, with a possible extra set before each scheduled event.
• Summer maintenance: brush clearing, signage work, and up‑to‑5 km of trail repairs, limited to NTE 100 hours.
• Contractor must supply appropriate snow‑cat equipment, maintain insurance (GL $2 M, Auto $1 M, WC $500 K), and provide proof of at least three years of ski‑trail grooming experience and local references.
