RFQ - Preferred Contractor for Abatement Services

The City of Cortez is soliciting quotes from professional contractors for on-call cleaning, restoration, and abatement services. The selected contractor will provide services including removal and lawful disposal of accumulated trash, rubbish, debris, and junk from exterior premises, interior cleanout of structures, temporary securing of a site, and photo/video documentation of pre- and post-abatement conditions. The contract will be for a period of approximately 6 months, from the date of award to December 31, 2026. The city is looking for a contractor with relevant technical experience, years in business, and familiarity with abatement work. The contractor will be required to provide evidence of proper insurance coverages, permits, and licenses. • The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, materials, and labor for the services. • The contractor will be required to coordinate with City Code Enforcement Staff and law enforcement for site access and on-call services. • The contractor will be required to provide photo/video documentation of pre- and post-abatement conditions. • The contractor will be required to provide a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for how hazardous material will be addressed on-site and disposed of.
