Description
The City of San Marcos is soliciting sealed bids for the Thorpe Lane Sidewalk Improvements project. The project involves the demolition and reconstruction of existing sidewalks and driveways along Thorpe Lane to bring pedestrian facilities into compliance with the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG). The project includes the reconstruction of sidewalk segments and driveway crossings, construction of new sidewalk connections and curb ramps, and reconfiguration of the pedestrian crossing at Warden Lane. The estimated construction cost for this project is $672,908.99.
• The project requires bidders to submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond with their bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.
• A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.
• Sealed bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager by Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.
• Award is tentatively scheduled for the Tuesday, March 31, 2026, City Council meeting, at 6:00 p.m.
