The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source purchase order to Dune Technologies for the provision of an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) system, specifically the Teledyne RD RiverPro 1200kHz ADCP. The system will be used by the Ludington Biological Station for measuring stream discharge. The justification for the sole source acquisition is based on the unique features of the RiverPro ADCP, which meets the requirements of the Ludington Biological Station, and the lack of alternative sources for the product.
Key features of the RiverPro ADCP include:
• Operating range of 20cm to 25m in depth
• Compatibility with USGS Q-rev software
• Portability and user-friendly design
• Technical support from USGS
The acquisition will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.
