Description
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Aviation Division is soliciting bids for the construction of airport improvements at the Cherokee County Airport. The project includes the relocation of the South Parallel Taxiway. The Engineers' Estimate of Probable Cost for this project is $2,241,459.00 for the base bid and $884,515.00 for Additive Alternate 1. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 2% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond with the Power of Attorney and claim page, each in the full amount of the contract price.

• Bidders can view and obtain plan sets, free of charge, from Plans Online at the TxDOT website.
• A Pre-Bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM on June 10, 2026, at Cherokee County Airport, 420 CR 1618, Rusk, Texas 75785.
• The proposed contract is subject to 49 CFR Part 26 concerning the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and is under and subject to Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1965, and to the Equal Opportunity Clause contained in the bidding documents.
