26-051 Airfield Stormwater Improvements at Pensacola International Airport

The City of Pensacola is seeking bids for the Airfield Stormwater Improvements project at Pensacola International Airport. The project involves the installation of stormwater drainage concrete pipe and associated junction structures along Taxiway A and into the regional stormwater pond on the airport. The scope of work includes removal of existing drainage structures, installation of new stormwater drainage concrete pipe and structures, regrading of infield areas, and re-establishment of the asphalt driveway. The project will be completed in multiple phases, with a mobilization period of 20 calendar days. The contractor will be required to work on an active airport with existing safety and security requirements. • The project requires the contractor to access the work area via the AOA gate off Airfield Road. • The contractor must submit a Safety Plan Compliance Document (SPCD) to the owner prior to receiving the Notice to Proceed. • The contractor will be responsible for minimizing the impact to airport operations while maintaining a maximum level of safety. • The contractor must use time during Phase 1 for administrative procedures such as preparing the project schedule, SPCD, shop drawings, coordination, etc. • The contractor will be working on an active airfield with existing safety and security requirements.
