Rural Health Transformation Program - Overcoming Geographic Barriers to Care, EMS Enhancement Grants to Resource Hospitals

The Rural Health Transformation Program aims to improve healthcare access, quality, and outcomes in rural communities across Illinois. The program will support EMS-related expenses, training, coordination, and staffing, as well as limited capital infrastructure, to expand care in rural areas. The program is funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and has a total funding amount of up to $16.5 million in the first federal Budget Period and up to $70.5 million in total across Budget Periods 1-5.
