Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking bids for the relocation of a basement transformer at the Oakwood facility in Somerset, Kentucky. The project includes the replacement of existing medium voltage substations with new pad-mounted transformers and 120/208V panelboards. The project will be phased and requires close coordination with Oakwood staff. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend a site visit on December 18, 2025.
• The project involves replacement of existing medium voltage substations in the basements of several buildings.
• Substations will be removed and replaced with new pad-mounted transformers on the exterior of the building and new 120/208V panelboards inside.
• Additional scope includes selective demolition, new service entrance, and reconnecting existing panel feeder circuits.
