Description
The Town of La Plata is seeking qualified contractors to provide professional traffic engineering services and transportation planning services on an as-needed basis. The selected contractor will be added to an "on-call" list of qualified contractors, which will be effective for a period of one year and may be renewable thereafter. The scope of work includes tasks such as preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for roadway projects, management of transportation construction projects, and coordination with the Maryland State Highway Administration. The contractor will be required to provide a statement of qualifications, including a cover letter, firm background, project team, relevant experience, technical approach, references, and price list.
• The contract will be awarded based on negotiations with qualified firms for specific municipal projects.
• The contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to perform the services.
• The Town reserves the right to reject any quotation or terminate any contract if it is determined that the contractor has provided a false certification or if the contractor or its principals become debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible during the procurement or contract term.
• The contractor must be registered in SAM.gov.
• The contractor must provide a certificate of insurance and a summary of safety record and programs.
