The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the Joint Science and Technology Office (JSTO) are issuing an RFI to collect technology nominations for the SCOUT 27 Operational User Trial and its concurrent Concepts Crucible, scheduled for 12‑18 March 2027 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek‑Fort Story, VA. The solicitation seeks two categories of CBRN‑related technologies: (1) ruggedized prototypes at TRL 4‑6+ for operational assessment, and (2) early‑stage concepts at TRL 1‑3 for static display. Desired capabilities span decentralized early‑warning sensor networks, warfighter burden‑reduction protection, autonomous hazard‑mitigation systems, and tactical‑edge diagnostics/medical countermeasures. Submissions are submitted in two phases via the JETT portal (phase 1) and, if selected, a deeper technical questionnaire on Vulcan‑sof.com (phase 2).
