The Capital Region Airport Commission seeks bids for the design‑build of a two‑story connector that will link the Richmond International Airport terminal building directly to the Rental Car Garage and provide a new direct connection to the departures/ticketing level. The scope includes relocating rental‑car counters to an expanded north baggage claim area, updating wayfinding signage, replacing all lighting in the north and south baggage claim areas with LED fixtures, and creating an outdoor pocket park at the radial center point of the connector featuring hardscape, softscape, seating, interactive displays, and future food‑truck accommodations. • Interior connector construction – two stories, linking terminal to rental‑car garage. • Relocation of rental‑car counters and expansion of north baggage claim area. • Full LED lighting retrofit, updated signage, and creation of an outdoor pocket park with amenities. • All work to be performed on‑site at Richmond International Airport, VA.
