Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential sources capable of supplying a Leica HistoCore Lightning S Slide Printer or equivalent. The required system must be a fully functional UV-based slide labeling system that meets all technical and operational criteria. It must have a configured touchscreen interface, pre-installed software, and demonstrated LIS connectivity and data integration. The system must also have a 3-layer air filtration system, be Laboratory Information System (LIS) compatible, and provide a user-friendly interface.
Some key features of the system include:
• Handling labeling histological glass slides from multiple manufacturers
• Operating with dual channel loading in both on-demand and batch print modes up to 15 slides/min
• Performing reliably with minimal operator intervention
• Using labels resistant to heat, solvents, and standard histological stains
• Achieving a minimum print resolution of 2,500 DPI with the ability to print 2D barcodes
The proposed action is for a firm-fixed price, one-year contract.
