Fiber Blow Machine - Intent to Sole Source

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed price service contract to General Cable Industries for the lease of a MIL-SPEC fiber optic cable blowing machine. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 12.102(a) and will have a period of performance from approximately May 25, 2026, through May 24, 2027. The machine is required for shipboard approved blown fiber optic equipment, and Prysmian Group is the only source available for this equipment.
