Description
The U.S. Army’s Program Manager – Protection and Integration (PM‑PI) is seeking public feedback on the second draft of the Military Detail (MIL‑DTL) specification for a ruggedized, militarized USB‑C (USB‑CM) connector system. Stakeholders are asked to comment on the design, manufacturability, integration potential, cost, durability, corrosion resistance, material choices, and any perceived limitations. Comments should be submitted in MS Word or PDF format to the designated email address.
• Provide technical and practical feedback on the USB‑CM connector design, including power‑/data‑rate capabilities.
• Discuss manufacturability issues, cost trade‑offs, and material suitability for harsh environments.
• Evaluate durability, corrosion resistance, and any operational limitations (e.g., temperature, vibration, EMI).
