Howard - WSHP for DOM

The State of Alabama is seeking a qualified contractor to replace an existing Trane 6‑4 water‑source heat pump (WSHP) with a new Daikin WSCH036 unit at the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home dining room. The scope includes full demolition, removal, disposal, furnishing and installing the new heat pump, connecting it to existing ductwork, water‑loop and electrical systems, installing a compatible thermostat, and performing start‑up and checkout. All work must be done during normal business hours and complies with EPA refrigerant recovery rules. • Demolition and safe disposal of the existing Trane WSHP, including refrigerant recovery and removal of associated ductwork, water lines, and electrical connections. • Supply and installation of one Daikin WSCH036 water‑source heat pump per manufacturer instructions, including mechanical, electrical, and thermostat integration. • Startup, testing, and verification of heating/cooling performance and thermostat operation. • Excludes engineering design, load calculations, BAS integration, fire‑alarm work, permits, hazardous‑material remediation, and any major duct or electrical upgrades.
