STUDENT COACHING & MENTORING PROGRAM

The Wake County Public School System is seeking proposals for a Student Coaching & Mentoring Program to provide mentor programs in selected schools based on need, and coaching and family supports to middle school students and their families. The program should operate on the school campus or local community center, with mentoring relationships meeting for the duration of the school year. The successful vendor will be required to provide at least 5 full-time coaches to work in 5 middle schools within Wake County. The contract will be for a one-year term, with the option for two additional one-year terms at the same cost. Some key requirements for the proposal include: • Demonstrated experience in providing student mentoring, coaching services, and family support in an educational setting • A clear plan for providing services to support students' socio-emotional development through at least weekly one-on-one and/or small group meetings • A plan for engaging parents/caregivers with the program • The ability to provide services virtually if needed • An annual program evaluation report to be completed by June 30 of each year • A perception survey to be completed by program students and parents/families
