Chilled Water Infrastructure Expansion Bernard Chiller Plant

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking bids for the Chilled Water Infrastructure Expansion Bernard Chiller Plant project. The project involves the installation of pre-purchased equipment, including electric centrifugal chillers, and related logistics and activities. The successful contractor will be responsible for arranging and coordinating delivery, unloading, rigging, and setting of the equipment, as well as making connections, starting, testing, and installing the equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining the equipment until the project is accepted by the Owner. • The project requires the installation of multiple chillers, each with a capacity of 60,000 tons. • The chillers will be connected in a series-counterflow arrangement. • The contractor must provide labor and materials to install the equipment and complete the system it serves. • The contractor must also provide O&M documentation and participate in commissioning process. • The University reserves the right to evaluate all bids for suitability for the required use and to award the one best meeting requirements and considered to be in the University’s best interest.
