Description
The City of Bakersfield is requesting bids from experienced and reputable suppliers for providing 7X16 Damping Ram Tilt Trailer 9,980 GVW, 2025 or newer model year. The trailer will be used to transport equipment for the City of Bakersfield Streets Department. The supplier must meet the minimum specifications outlined in the bid document, which includes a 7’x16” trailer with a 12’ tilting area, damping ram, and other specific features. The City intends to purchase two units immediately and may purchase additional units at the same per unit cost for a period of twelve months after acceptance of bid.
• The trailer must be a new, unused 2025 or newer model year unit.
• The trailer must have a 12’ tilting area with damping ram.
• The trailer must have a 4’ stationary area with 16” enclosed sides made of 3/16” smooth plate.
• The trailer must have 7k 4” drop dexter axles with electric brakes on both axles.
• The trailer must have an 8k tuff tow sidewind jack.
• The trailer must have 235/80 R16 Gladiator tires on 8 lug white wheels.
• The trailer must have a 6 hole hitch bracket.
• The trailer must have 3” cross members on 12” center.
• The trailer must have an apitong wood floor.
• The trailer must have an 8” channel tongue with adjustable hitch.
• The trailer must have an 8” channel main frame.
• The trailer must include four 5/8” flush mount D-rings.
• The trailer must have an open toolbox on deck.
• The trailer must have trailer light plug to be determined at time of build.
• The trailer must have heavy duty Jr. channel fenders.
• The trailer must have tires and wheels that meet the GVW of the trailer.
• The trailer must be primed and painted black.
• The trailer must include LED lighting and meet all lighting DOT requirements.
• The trailer must have a tongue with 3/8 safety chains.
• The trailer must include a Pollak 604 male electrical connector.
• The trailer must include a 15x36 open box 15” deep.
• The trailer must have a 12’ tilt.
