Description
The project involves a comprehensive façade restoration of Technology High School in Newark, NJ. The contractor will perform selective demolition of deteriorated masonry and terra‑cotta, restore and replace masonry units (including CastCotta and cast stone), install new structural steel and custom metalwork, apply advanced waterproofing systems, replace the roofing membrane, and install architectural GFRC panels and high‑performance joint sealants. The work must be coordinated around the school’s operating schedule, adhere to strict safety, environmental, and prevailing‑wage requirements, and be completed within 335 days to substantial completion (390 days to final completion).
• Scope includes masonry restoration, structural steel fabrication, metal fabrications, waterproofing, roofing, GFRC panel installation, and joint‑sealant systems.
• Contractor must submit a detailed submittal schedule within 15 days of Notice to Proceed and provide performance & payment bonds (100 % of contract price) within 10 days of award.
• Compliance with New Jersey Prevailing Wage, EEO, ADA, stockholder disclosure, and Iran‑investment certifications is mandatory.
