Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking a contractor to provide support and oversight to Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) New Acquisition, Ship’s Modernization and Sustainment Program Waterfront Support, including oversight of waterfront installations. The contractor will be responsible for managing HM&E New Acquisition, Ship’s Modernization and Sustainment programs being accomplished on ships during waterfront maintenance periods. The support will include program, engineering, technical, and logistics shipboard support services, including coordinating and overseeing the engineering, program management, program planning, acquisition, engineering, scheduling, execution, oversight, maintenance, and modernization support and technical personnel and facilities required to accomplish the shipboard work.
Some key responsibilities include:
• Providing waterfront support on a daily basis and managing the schedule for all aspects of the work being done
• Coordinating shipyard and shipboard access, reviewing work plans and schedules, and ensuring planned work is accomplished in accordance with shipyard schedules and regulations
• Providing weekly updates to NSWCPD program office dashboards and program schedules
• Witnessing the installation of ship and machinery alterations and reporting deviations from planned execution
• Providing engineering support services and integrating technological improvements for programs, projects, and special studies being conducted
• Providing program support to NSWCPD, including planned action and milestones, program action item tracking, status report preparation, and presentation development
