Tax Consultancy and Withholding Services for Tax Year 2026

The U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking a contractor to provide tax consultancy and withholding services for the tax year 2026. The contractor will be responsible for providing guidance on employee tax obligations and withholdings, calculating required withholdings, and remitting taxes and deductions to the Kenya Revenue Authority. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, from March 1, 2026 to February 28, 2017. The contractor will work with the U.S. Department of State and Peace Corps Kenya to conduct bi-weekly tax calculations for approximately 900 local employees. Key services include: initial set up, tax calculation and withholding, remittance of taxes, and year-end reconciliation and reporting. • Initial set up: establishing an employee database, configuring a tax computation database, and setting up a system for collecting relevant employee information. • Tax calculation and withholding: maintaining an accurate and current employee database, updating the tax computation database, and ensuring compliance with Kenyan tax laws and regulations. • Remittance of taxes: remitting payments to the Kenya Revenue Authority and other applicable authorities on a monthly basis. • Year-end reconciliation and reporting: performing an annual reconciliation and adjustment to ensure no overpayment of PAYE, and preparing year-end PAYE employee certificates.
