REVENUE ADMINISTRATION, TAX, AND CUSTOMS ADVISORS - PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACTOR

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) is recruiting experienced professionals for its Revenue Administration program. The program involves providing technical assistance to support U.S. Treasury and U.S. Government economic and national security objectives in developing and transitional countries worldwide. The ideal candidates will have expertise in one or more areas of revenue administration, including tax and customs administration. • Tax administration experts should have experience in areas such as tax audit, dispute resolution, compliance risk management, returns and payment processing, collection/debt management, taxpayer service and education, and tax fraud. • Customs administration experts should have experience in areas such as US Customs and Border Protection procedures, compliance expertise, customs valuation, harmonized tariff classification system, trade agreements, rules of origin, excise tax, post clearance audit, border operations, and border control. • Candidates with experience in human capital management, criminal investigation, internal audit, and anticorruption program development are also sought. • The work will involve intermittent assignments under personal services contracts, with short-term assignments normally consisting of a series of trips of two to three weeks each, and a limited number of resident assignments for one year or more.
