ECONOMIC CRIMES TEAM ADVISOR - PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACTOR

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Technical Assistance (OTA), is recruiting individuals to serve as resident or intermittent advisors under a personal services contract. The successful candidate will work on the Economic Crimes Team (ECT) to assist counterpart governments in developing and implementing anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) regimes. The advisor will provide technical assistance, mentoring, and awareness-raising, and may be involved in legal framework development and training. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least ten years of experience in a relevant field, and strong knowledge of AML/CFT international standards and best practices. • The advisor will work in developing and transitional countries worldwide to support U.S. Treasury and U.S. Government economic and national security objectives. • The advisor may be deployed to countries with elevated threat levels, including potentially high/critical threat posts, as determined by the U.S. Government. • The advisor will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance and State Department medical clearance for worldwide travel. • The advisor will be expected to have strong writing skills, including the use of editing tools, and be proficient in the use of personal computers and MS Office products. • The advisor will be expected to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with confidentiality, and have exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
