RFP for Land Use Planning, Community Forest

The Town of Butte Falls is seeking a consultant to provide land use planning and permitting services for the Butte Falls Community Forest. The consultant will evaluate applicable land use regulations, coordinate with Jackson County Planning, and secure approvals necessary to implement the Community Forest design. The project includes tasks such as land use pathway evaluation, permit strategy and application preparation, regulatory coordination and negotiation, land use approval and compliance documentation, and GIS database development. The consultant must have experience with rural land use planning, a practical approach, and relevant experience with similar communities. • The project has a total duration of 12 months from Notice to Proceed. • The consultant must be available to begin work within 30 days of contract execution. • The project includes a range of tasks, including land use pathway evaluation, permit strategy and application preparation, and GIS database development. • The consultant must have experience with rural land use planning and a practical approach. • The project has a number of constraints and considerations, including regulatory pathway determination, County review and interpretation, rural context and capacity constraints, and environmental context.
