Description
The Norwich Fire District Water Department is soliciting proposals for the replacement of a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 work truck with a new 2025 or 2026 model year 1/2-ton pickup work truck. The required vehicle specifications include an extended cab, 4-wheel drive, V8 gas motor, automatic transmission, and towing package. Proposals must clearly itemize the cost of the truck and all closing costs separately, and the total "out the door price" must be provided. The evaluation criteria include cost, motor, transmission, MPG, towing capacity, and miscellaneous equipment/specs.
• The NFD is a small municipality serving approximately 352 connections (800–1,000 residents).
• The proposal question and answer period is between January 5th-9th.
• Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 PM on January 16th, 2026.
• Submissions can be made via email, mail, or physical delivery.
• The NFD reserves the right to select the proposal that best meets its needs, regardless of price, and reserves the right to reject all bids.
