The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is seeking sources for a single-axis linear motion calibration system, also known as a shake table, with control software. The system should be fully assembled, factory-tested, and factory-calibrated prior to shipment. The system must meet certain salient performance characteristics, including programmable single-axis linear motion under closed-loop position control, a motion envelope of 0.1 to 10 Hz in frequency, and safety features such as a hard-wired emergency stop and motion limits.
• The system must be capable of arbitrary user-defined waveforms, including multi-frequency superposition of at least three simultaneous components.
• The system must have an integrated position sensor and an integrated reference accelerometer, each factory calibrated with NIST-traceable certificates.
• The system must have a benchtop form factor suitable for standard laboratory power.
• The control software must be operable in a standalone configuration with no required internet, cloud, or subscription.
• The system must conform to Section 508 accessibility standards.
