3587 Dredge CURRITUCK Replacement Source Sought Notice

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking information from potential contractors to design, build, test, and deliver a new shallow draft dredge to replace the Dredge CURRITUCK. The dredge must meet specific requirements, including a split-hull design, a draft of 9 feet 5 inches, and a hopper capacity of 518 cubic yards. The contractor must also adhere to a schedule requirement, with vessel construction to be completed within 16 months. • The dredge must be designed for working in shallow draft ocean bar channels from Maine to Texas year-round. • The dredge must have a minimum speed of 7 knots with the hopper fully loaded and a minimum speed of 10 knots with the hopper empty. • The dredge must have a length of 156 feet and a beam of 35 feet. • The dredge must be self-propelled and utilize Azimuthing thrusters. • The contractor must provide a narrative detailing their capability and qualifications to perform the requirement. • The contractor must provide a list of any issues, concerns, and/or recommendations for the Government to consider with this procurement.
