NEI Center Core Grant for Vision Research (P30 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking applications for the NEI Center Core Grant for Vision Research. The goal of this grant is to build research infrastructure within an institution to provide technical support to groups of NEI R01-funded investigators. The grant combines three or more Resource and/or Service Cores to enhance research, consolidate resources, and contribute to cost effectiveness. The design and purpose of each Center Core may vary, but the overall goal is to enhance an institution's environment and capability to conduct vision research and facilitate collaborative studies. Key aspects of this grant include: • The grant requires an administrative core and three or more resource and/or service cores. • Any researcher at the institute can use the core facilities. • The grant is designed to promote new research within the NEI mission and Strategic Plan. • The grant is not allowed to support clinical trials.
