Intent to Sole Source - Repair of 2 Ea. Respooling Machines

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) intends to award a sole-source contract to repair two wire rope respooling machines, specifically a Hogg and Davis Hydra 985 and an Envoltz Wire Rope Respooling Machine. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, and services to perform the repairs. The work will be performed at PSNS & IMF, and the contractor will be required to comply with all applicable regulations, publications, manuals, and local policies and procedures. The contract will be for a firm fixed price, and the period of performance is expected to be from approximately 02 June 2026 through 07 August 2026. • The contractor must have certified hydraulic mechanics that are qualified to work on both Hogg & Davis and Envoltz models of respooling machines. • The contractor must be able to obtain new, OEM replacement parts needed to perform repairs on both machines. • The contractor will be required to travel to the work site, and all travel expenses must be included in the overall quoted cost prior to award. • The contractor must maintain an effective quality control program to ensure that services are performed in accordance with the contract requirements.
