Description

The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is seeking applications for funding under the Fiscal Year 2023 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victim Assistance Formula Grant Program. The program provides grants to support the provision of services to victims of crime throughout the nation. Eligible applicants include state governments and other territories and possessions of the United States. The goal of the program is to improve the treatment of victims of crime by providing victims with the assistance, support, and services necessary to aid their restoration and healing after a criminal act. • The program will provide funding for eligible crime victim assistance programs that provide support services to crime victims. • The program will also provide funding for administrative and training purposes, up to 5% of the total grant award. • Applicants must agree to the award condition that satisfies the VOCA requirements, which includes certifying that funds will be awarded only to eligible victim assistance organizations and will not be used to supplant state and local public funds. • Applicants must also provide a statement regarding the use of administrative and training funds, and must submit performance measure data through OVC's online Performance Measurement Tool.
