Broadband Infrastructure Expansion Program

The West Piedmont Planning District Commission is seeking qualified Offerors to design, engineer, permit, construct, activate, and support broadband infrastructure that will extend reliable high‑speed internet service to eligible locations across six participating counties. The effort will involve comprehensive planning, coordination with local governments, and ongoing support after deployment. • Design and engineering of fiber‑optic or other high‑capacity broadband networks • Securing all necessary permits and right‑of‑way approvals • Construction of conduit, fiber‑laying, and related civil works • Activation, testing, and commissioning of the network for service readiness • Long‑term operational support and maintenance for the installed infrastructure
