Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

The contract is a 1‑year, city‑wide lead service line replacement project. Similar municipal water‑infrastructure projects in New York typically range from $1 million to $5 million in total contract value, depending on the length of pipe replaced and extent of ancillary work (pavement, landscaping, traffic control). Assuming the prime contractor’s share is roughly 70 % of total spend, a subcontractor’s award could fall anywhere between $700 k and $3.5 M. Therefore, a reasonable estimate for a qualified DBE subcontractor’s earnings is between $1 million (lower‑end, limited material supply) and $5 million (upper‑end, extensive material and labor scope).
