Description

The City of Syracuse is seeking bids for the site development of the former developmental center. The project involves the construction of sewer and water infrastructure, new streetscape construction, and other related work. The scope of work includes mobilizing and setting up staging areas, installing erosion and sediment control measures, removing existing site utilities, and constructing new city streets. The project also requires coordinating with local utilities and complying with the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). The bidder must provide all necessary machinery, tools, and materials to complete the work. • The project involves the construction of a two-lane road section, associated parking and bike lanes, curbing, landscape green area with tree plantings, stormwater management practices, pedestrian control measures, sidewalks, signage, pavement striping, and lighting. • The bidder must review the Phasing Plans for the scope of work and coordinate with the developer and their contractor constructing mixed-use buildings. • The bidder must also provide a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. • The City reserves the right to award this contract or to make no award or to rebid at a later date as determined by the Director of Management and Budget per applicable law.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the scope of work and the requirements for the bid bond. The bid bond is set at 5% of the total amount of the bid, which suggests that the City is expecting bids in the range of hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars. The total budget will depend on the complexity of the project, the materials and labor required, and the bidder's pricing proposal. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $5 million, considering the scope of work and the typical costs associated with similar construction projects.
