COUNTY OF ONTARIO Jenifer Langer, BuyerOntario County Purchasing Ontario County seeks to enhance the reliability of its emergency radio communications network through the co-location of communications equipment at an existing Seneca County communications facility mounted on a 165-foot elevated water tank located at 4881 McGrane Road in the Town of Romulus, New York. A structural analysis of the water tank was completed by a licensed professional engineer to evaluate the structure’s capacity to support the proposed additional communications loading. The analysis determined that certain structural members, specifically the diagonal steel bracing rods between five water tank support legs, do not meet current applicable structural standards for emergency communications tower loading and therefore require reinforcement. Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work, which includes the retrofit of a water tank and the installation of communications equipment. The cost of such a project can vary widely depending on the complexity of the work, the materials required, and the labor costs. However, a rough estimate for a project of this nature could be in the range of $500,000 to $2,000,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant structural reinforcement, equipment installation, and labor costs.
