Prime Contractors for Residential Construction Services Acquisition and Demolition

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking to qualify highly skilled Prime Contractors to perform residential property acquisition and structure demolition services across North Carolina. The selected Prime Contractors will be responsible for providing construction management, subcontracting construction services, managing timelines and budgets, acquiring necessary designs and permits, and ensuring all inspections and certificates are acquired by completion of the project. The prequalification process will evaluate the Prime Contractors' experience, financial stability, and ability to meet the requirements of the RFPQ. The prequalified Prime Contractors will have the opportunity to bid on individual Requests for Bid (RFBs) for specific projects. Key aspects of the job include: • Acquisition and demolition of residential properties • Construction management and subcontracting • Project scoping, pre-construction services, construction/demolition activities, post-construction services, and closeout services • Compliance with Federal and State regulations, including the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) • Provision of good, safe jobs to workers and compliance with federal labor and employment laws • Energy efficiency and adherence to mandatory standards and policies • Records retention and compliance with the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA)
