Description
The Department of State Hospitals seeks a qualified provider to deliver Performance Art Educator Services—including workshops, therapeutic arts activities, and special events—to adult patients with mental illness across multiple state‑hospital locations. The contractor will be responsible for lesson planning, direct instruction, mandatory training, compliance with extensive background and health‑safety requirements, and detailed reporting.
• Provide up to 12 hours/week of performance‑arts instruction (workshops, drama, music) at six DSH facilities.
• Develop a 12‑week lesson plan, support bi‑annual Arts‑in‑Mental‑Health events, and complete required DSH training (total ~16 hours first year).
• Meet strict security, background, TB screening, insurance, and reporting obligations; no subcontractors unless a DVBE partnership is approved.
