Bore Scanner

The Texas A&M University System is seeking bids for the purchase of a bore scanner for the Bush Combat Development Complex. The bore scanner must provide non-contact, optical measurement techniques, bore measurement accuracy, and self-propelled capabilities. The scanner will be used to measure the interior surface of the launch tube to identify changes over time and potential damage. The contract will be awarded to the bid that is determined to be the best value to the A&M System based on the following criteria: specifications, pricing, shipping terms, ability to meet requested delivery and installation time-frame, and the vendor's past relationship with the A&M System. • The bore scanner must have a non-contact, optical measurement technique • The scanner must be capable of scanning continuous and discontinuous diametric surfaces • The scanner must be self-propelled and have axial position accuracy within 1.02 mm • The scanner must have calibration capabilities and integrated software analysis tools • The scanner must be able to measure straightness either natively or with optional add-ons • On-site installation and training are required
