Description

The U.S. Army is seeking a commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) or non‑developmental ultrasonic ocular scanner prototype to be delivered, tested, and supported for field‑hospital use. The award will be a direct Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) for up to two prototypes, with the possibility of a follow‑on production award. The contractor must provide four prototype units, training, documentation, and warranty, and must meet FDA clearance, TAA compliance, and MIL‑STD‑810H environmental standards. • Provide four prototype ultrasonic ocular scanner devices (A‑Scan & B‑Scan) with FDA clearance. • Deliver within 45‑60 days of award, include training, manuals, rugged cases, and a minimum one‑year warranty. • Meet cybersecurity (NIST SP 800‑171) and data‑rights requirements granting the government unlimited rights.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,500,000

No ceiling is published; however, four prototype ultrasonic scanners (including training, rugged cases, documentation, and a one‑year warranty) are typically valued between $125k‑$375k per unit for high‑end medical imaging equipment. Adding services, travel, and overhead could raise the total to roughly $500k‑$1.5M for the full effort. Therefore a reasonable estimate for the award is in the low‑to‑mid‑million‑dollar range.
