Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified elevator contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and emergency response services for a Caltrans-owned elevator located at the District 11 Transportation Management Center in San Diego County. The contractor must hold a valid C‑11 elevator license, supply all labor, tools, parts, and supplies, and comply with strict prevailing‑wage, bonding, insurance, and reporting requirements over a five‑year contract term.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance, fire‑sprinkler system inspections, and annual testing of the elevator system.
• Provide routine and non‑routine repair services, including 1‑hour emergency response for passenger entrapments and 48‑hour response for standard service calls.
• Manage parts, materials, and supplies on a reimbursable basis (capped at 10 % of the subcontract subtotal) and submit certified payroll with each invoice.
• No subcontracting is permitted; all work must be performed by the prime contractor’s personnel.
