USAFA Supercontinuum Laser Source

The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is conducting market research to identify capable sources to provide a Supercontinuum Laser Source. This equipment will support the USAFA Physics Department and the Laser and Optics Research Center (LORC), enabling cadets majoring or minoring in Physics to conduct wavelength-agile modulation phenomenology research. The Supercontinuum Laser Source must meet or exceed the following salient characteristics: Total Average Output Power of ≥ 30 W, Wavelength Spectral Range of 400 - 2400 nm, Average Spectral Power Density of > 16 mW/nm, Repetition Rate of ≥ 1 MHz, Average Power Stability of < 0.5 % RMS, Output Isolation, Computer Control Interface, and Warranty. Interested parties are invited to submit a Capability Statement, which must include company profile, business size/socioeconomic status, technical capability, delivery/lead time, and existing contracts. • The laser source will be used for wavelength-agile modulation phenomenology research. • The equipment must meet specific technical requirements, including output power, spectral range, and power stability. • The vendor must provide a Capability Statement, including company information, technical capability, and delivery details. • The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. • Responses must be submitted electronically via email to the contracting officer.
