Description
The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) seeks to procure a SeaArk 2672MV, a 26-foot marine-grade aluminum research vessel, equipped with a Yamaha F250XB (250 HP) outboard engine and Magic Tilt TALSK2652 trailer. The vessel will support academic instruction, student training, and long-term ecological research conducted through the Pritchards Island Research Program. Key features of the vessel include shallow-draft capability, structural durability, and safe transport of students and research equipment.
• The vessel must be equipped with a Yamaha F250XB (250 HP) outboard engine and Magic Tilt TALSK2652 trailer.
• The vessel must be capable of operating in shallow tidal creeks, estuarine systems with oyster reefs, exposed marsh flats, sandbars, and nearshore coastal waters with tidal ranges exceeding 8 feet.
• The vessel must be designed for safe transport of students and research equipment.
• The contractor must provide all labor and materials necessary for the delivery of the vessel.
• The contractor must include the price of shipping in their bid, but exclude tax.
